Global small and medium-sized enterprises are a project to discover small and medium-sized export companies with innovative and growth potential and foster them as export leaders or regional-led representative companies. It is a project that the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, local governments, and local related agencies jointly carry out.

Anti-droplet masks that E-mart started to sell starting the 24th was sold out in 30 minutes.

E-mart became the first offline store to sell ‘ANYGUARD anti-droplet mask’ (20pcs,10,000KRW) at 2pm on the 24th. Total sale quantity per store is 100 boxes/day, with purchase of maximum 1 box allowed per person.

Because of the hot weather starting this month, anti-droplet masks are popular due to their breathability.

Anticipating high demand and difficulty in acquiring inventory, E-mart began sales in areas with mass COVID-19 infections including 2 stores in Daejeon (Dunsan Daejeon Terminal), 7 stores in Daegu (Banyawol Chilsung, Seongseo, Wolbae, Kyeongsan, Manchon, Gamsam), and 11 stores in Seoul (Eunpyeong Seongsu Wolgye Gayang Yongsan Guro Wangsimni Jayang Yeongdeungpo Mokdong Yangjae).

Though sales were to begin at 2pm, citizens waited in line since early morning in front of E-mart in Daegu to purchase the masks. E-mart convinced the citizens to go back to prevent unexpected circumstances.

As sales began at 2pm, the 600 boxes of masks that the 6 E-mart stores in Daegu had prepared were sold out within 30 minutes.

E-mart is planning to acquire and sell a total of 10,000 boxes (200,000 pcs) of anti-droplet masks in June.

E-mart official stated, “to prevent chaos on the first day of selling anti-droplet masks we handed out number tickets matching the mask quantity in advance. Social distancing was relatively well maintained thanks to the cooperation of the citizens”.
